Winter Skincare Routine

During the brutal winter months, I really need to step up my evening beauty and skincare routine. I have incredibly sensitive skin due to my fair pigmentation and oily T-zone. By nature, I am very brand loyal when it comes to household products, but even more so when it comes to skincare. In the beauty arena, I love testing new brands, bold colors and various products. When scouting for skincare products that work best for me, it is crucial for the products to make me feel good both physically and emotionally. I always try to keep this top of mind, “If you feel good on the inside, you will glow on the outside”.

My skincare routine includes these top notch products:

Amore Pacific Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence: This product marks the first step in my eye care regimen (I’m guilty of not investing in eye skin care until my mid-twenties). Amore Pacific has quickly become my favorite skincare line; all of their products are powered by all natural Asian botanicals. This eye roller delivers on three pillars: de-puffing, lifting and brightening. After cleanser, toner, serum and moisturizer, I dab the serum based product below the eye, in the corners and over the lids. I sometimes keep the eye roller in the refrigerator over night for a cold press in the morning to help de-puff tired eyes.

Rosebud Salve: I first came across this cult-favorite while browsing my local Anthropologie. It has quickly become my go-to for chapped and dry lips. I usually mix the salve with a dab of Vaseline to help soothe any irritation. For any moms out there, this product is also known to help diaper rash!

Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Creme: For anyone with hyper sensitive skin, I cannot recommend this moisturizer enough. The change I’ve seen in my skin after using this for two years is incredible. The benefits include mass hydration, radiance and improved elasticity. Powered by pure bamboo leaf extract, the skin stays soft and hydrated all day long. The best bonus of all is how amazing your skin will smell after using this product!

Fresh Sugar Lip Polish: Sometimes a soothing lip balm does not cut it during these cold months! On the hunt for an exfoliating scrub, I found this simple solution. Made up of real brown sugar crystals, dry flakes are easily buffed away for a smooth finish.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer: The best part about this primer is that it’s water-based. This ensures that make-up stays fresh and color-true for hours, with no reapplication.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: When it comes to foundation, I like a very natural no-makeup look. This product gives the perfect hint of color while enhancing the skin with a semi-matte finish.

Feel Brilliant Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sheet Mask: Saving the best for last! Last night, I had a date with my first sheet mask of a 4-week process. After being in the sun for the last 9 days on vacation, the mask left my skin feeling reenergized and fresh. The benefits include minimizing pores as well as detoxifying the skin – two things we all need during this time of year.

What drew me to Feel Beauty was first and foremost their brand message. Feel Beauty’s goal is to turn your daily beauty ritual into something that feels good physically and emotionally. It is a beauty brand but along with the use of their products, the brand also encourages us to simply feel our emotions and be unafraid to express them. I genuinely believe that once you begin feeling strong in mind, body and spirit, you will exude a glow and appear more beautiful on the outside and to others. I always find that people are naturally attracted to those that are smiling, having fun and who are sincerely in tune with themselves. Seems simple enough?
