Happy St. Patrick’s Day! This is a favorite holiday of mine, especially since I am made up predominantly of Irish and Scottish descent. As I’ve gotten older,  my interest in learning more about my ancestry and history of my family is at an all time high. While my parents often shared stories during my adolescence, I never really paid any attention or retained any of the information they shared. A couple of weekends ago, my mom shared this document of research my Grandma wrote up after spending some time in Scotland with my Grandpa. They visited back in the 1950s and spent majority of their time digging deep into his ancestry and family roots. As I flipped through this document, I was so fascinated and proud of our family history.

Our grandparents and great grandparents grew up under such different circumstances with more limitations in what they could do and where they could go. Hearing stories of both sets of my grandparents (one from Scotland and the other from Ireland) gives me a deep appreciation for all that I have today.

Corey and I will be heading out for a pint of Guinness and corned beef sandwich later today to cheers to our Irish family roots. I love this shirt from Ann Taylor; the perfect shade of green, complete with a bow in the back. Not only is it perfect for St. Patty’s Day, but a great transition piece as we head into Spring. To help ring in the holiday, Sugarfina’s St. Patrick’s Day Collection is a great accompaniment to any party. Today only, buy four small cubes and get one free with code LUCKY SWEETS. My personal favorite are they ‘Kiss Me I’m Irish’ sugar lips, sweet & sour gummies in three different flavors! While you’re at it, don’t forget to add the Pot O’ Gold pearls, Lucky Pints O’ Beer and Irish Stout pints to your shopping cart.

I wish you all a happy, cheerful (and of course lucky!) St. Patrick’s Day!
