Love & Overalls

We’re about a week into Spring and I’m slowing changing up my wardrobe. I recently purchased these drop hem skinny overalls from Madewell and could not be more in love. Fun fact: I owned a pair of long and short overalls during my tween years and wore them constantly. I distinctly remember wearing them with my mustard yellow LTD shirt and my bangs pulled back by the infamous 90s snap hair clips. So as you can imagine, I am pretty psyched to bring these back this season!

As I mentioned, I am slowly transitioning my wardrobe into Spring and Summer mode. Every season, I feel like I miss the boat in regards to filling my closet with the latest and greatest trend pieces (although I aim to steer away from ‘trends’ anyhow). One area I try and hold myself accountable is working to only invest in pieces that have (1) longevity and are (2) timeless. In all transparency, I used to buy anything that was considered a great deal – not necessarily something I needed or even remotely wanted. I guess you may call that a shopping problem? Regardless, my habits have positively changed and I am excited to find pieces this season that fit the criteria mentioned above.

Shifting gears, is anyone else watching the show on Netflix called Love? We are flying through season 2 and I cannot get enough of this cast. Paul Rust is cast as nice-guy Gus and Gillian Jacobs is cast as wild-child Mickey. Both Gus and Mickey are worlds apart different, but are genuinely drawn to one another. The synopsis is this: the differences Gus and Mickey see in each other is what helps them understand what love really is. I highly recommend it and promise you will experience gut wrenching laughter with every episode.
