My friend Justine, incredibly talented voice behind Short is the New Black, and I recently toured the Flowers for Dreams space and got a glimpse into how this local floral business grew into what it is today. Flowers for Dreams main mission revolves around three pillars: convenience, hand-crafted design and affordability. This local business sells beautiful artisan bouquets in 4 sizes starting at a competitive price of $35 and free shipping. All deliveries arrive during peak hours of 10am-5pm and if any delivery hiccups occur, Flowers for Dreams will refund 100% order total. Taking a step further, Flowers for Dreams donates 25% of proceeds to local Chicago charities. As of late, they have donated approximately $140,000 to local charities. As an employee benefit, all team members sit down and vote for which 12 charities Flowers for Dreams will donate to each month of 2016. I loved learning that this employee perk allows each team member to fight for what charity message and mission they strongly support and believe it. Other like brands in the Chicago area, such as Sprig, Bang Bang Pie and Stan’s Donuts, have collaborated with Flowers for Dreams to bring promotional deals to their consumer bases. Flowers, pie and donuts? Sign me up! In addition to delivering professionally crafted bouquets, Flowers for Dreams also offers wedding + event design as well as floral arranging workshops.

What’s next for this ever-growing local Chicago business? Flowers for Dreams aims to deliver smiles and do good in Chicago, the city we all love. In celebration of Valentine’s Day and the month of love, use discount code VDAYSEEHAPPINESSTHROUGH for 10% off any bouquet. No better time than now to share the sentiment of beautiful flowers for those closest to you!
