For Vol. 3 of Beauty Refresh, I’m excited to highlight a new brand – one I always thought was specifically created for men, but later learned they’ve upped their female consumer base! Harry’s is a company that was created to be different from other shaving brands. What I love most about the brand is (1) close and comfortable shave (2) half the price of a traditional razor (anyone else tired of paying $12.99 for a razor that only comes with one extra blade?!) and (3) sleek design. I love when a brand really listens to their users and incorporates their feedback into making the product even better – something Harry’s has done since day one.
I tried out the Winston starter set – including razor handle, foaming shave gel, 3 blade cartridges and travel blade cover (all for $25!). The blades are super durable and I love how the razor also has a precision trimmer – making it a breeze to shave my legs. While I loved the shaving foam, I loved the post shave balm even more. Anyone else experience slight redness or minor razor bumps time to time? This balm helped reduce redness and moisturized my legs with natural ingredients such as cucumber and aloe. This was a win-win especially with the cold weather upon us!
Beyond discovering my new favorite razor, I stopped by Sephora in search of new face masks to try out. I’d heard good things about the Sephora Collection masks and decided to give a couple products a go. I bought both Lotus – perfect for moisturizing and soothing and Algae – perfect for purifying and detoxifying. What I love most about these masks is that they are free of parabens. All active ingredients help relax the skin as well as revitalize and brighten complexion – which was my main reasons for using these masks. Next on my list include the Avocado and Green Tea masks.
Also included in this week’s round up is a product I’ve been using for years but wanted to share as it is absolutely necessary to use during the winter months. The shea butter hand cream from L’Occitane is a dream! I am that person who immediately goes and washes my hands after the nail technician massages my hands with lotion before painting my nails. Reason being? My hands feel so oily afterwards! This hand cream leaves my hands feeling incredibly soft and leaves no oily traces. They sell a holiday hand cream trio which is a perfect stocking stuffer for the beauty connoisseur in your life this holiday season!
